Kyra Minturn
Kyra Minturn (born on 19th August 1965) is an American actress. Her starring role on the crime drama TNT The Closer as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson is her most popular. Sedgwick received an Emmy Award in 2010 and a Golden Globe Award for 2007 for her performance as Johnson. The series ended after the seventh season. Sedgwick is also well-known for her part in Brooklyn Nine-Nine, playing Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick was nominated for an Golden Globe award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film roles include Oliver Stone's Born to the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's singles (1992), Heart and Souls(93), Phenomenon (1996) and What's Cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was born New York City to Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), who is a speech/family therapist, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick who is a venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was Episcopalian of English descent. Sedgwick declares that she is Jewish and says she goes to Passover seders.
