Psaki The youngest of three children was born in Stamford in Connecticut to Eileen (nee Dolan), Medvey[8] and Dimitrios (Greek) R. Psaki. Dimitrios, an ex-real estate developer was the grandpa of Eileen who emigrated from Greece back in 1904. His mother was of Irish descent. The couple got married in 1976. Psaki is also Polish-American. In 1996 she graduated from Greenwich High School. In 2000, she received an honors degree from the College of William & Mary. She is a Chi Omega member. While at William & Mary, Psaki was a backstroke athlete for the William & Mary Tribe athletic team for two years. Psaki's professional career started in 2001, when she was involved in the campaigns to re-elect Tom Harkin, an Iowa Democratic candidate for the U.S. Senate, and Tom Vilsack, a candidate for governor. Psaki was later appointed as deputy press secretary for John Kerry's presidential campaign in 2004. Psaki was also the director of communications for Joseph Crowley, a U.S. representative, and was the regional press secretary of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. MSNBC announced that Psaki will serve as an analyst in the 2022 United States elections and during the 2024 presidential election. In 2023 she will host an online Peacock streaming show on MSNBC. [35] Psaki was first to appear on TV following her departure from her post as White House Press Secretary for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. She also spoke about the Robb Elementary School massacre.
